✅ Southern Railway (Office of the Chief Workshop Manager, Carriage & Wagon Works, Perambur, Chennai) ने Apprentices Act, 1961 के अंतर्गत Act Apprentices Engagement हेतु Notification No. 01/2026 जारी किया है। Fresher व Ex-ITI Category मिलाकर कुल 4471 पद (163 Fresher + 4308 Ex-ITI) विभिन्न Divisions/Workshops/Units में उपलब्ध हैं।
⚠️ केवल दक्षिण रेलवे के निर्धारित भौगोलिक क्षेत्र (तमिलनाडु, पुडुचेरी, केरला, अंडमान-निकोबार व लक्षद्वीप पूरा; आंध्रप्रदेश के SPSR नेल्लोर व चित्तूर जिले; कर्नाटक का दक्षिण कन्नड़ जिला) में रहने वाले उम्मीदवार ही आवेदन के पात्र हैं।

🎓 Eligibility – Academic Qualification
Fresher Category
- Fitter, Painter, Welder: 10वीं Class (न्यूनतम 50% Aggregate Marks)
- MLT (Radiology/Pathology/Cardiology): 12वीं Class (न्यूनतम 50% Aggregate, Physics-Chemistry-Biology सहित)
Ex-ITI Category
- अधिकतर Trades (Fitter, Machinist, MMV, Turner, Diesel Mechanic, Carpenter, Painter, Welder(G&E), Wireman, Plumber, Draughtsman-Civil आदि): 10वीं (न्यूनतम 50%) + संबंधित Trade में ITI (NCVT/SCVT Certificate)
- Electrician: 10वीं (Science सहित, न्यूनतम 50%) + ITI
- Electronics Mechanic: 10वीं (Physics, Chemistry, Maths सहित, न्यूनतम 50%) + ITI
- Secretarial Assistant & Stenographer (English), ICTSM: 12वीं/10वीं + संबंधित ITI Trade
- COPA/PASAA: 10वीं (न्यूनतम 50%) + NCVT COPA National Trade Certificate
SC/ST/PwBD उम्मीदवारों हेतु 10वीं में 50% की शर्त लागू नहीं। Course Completed Act Apprentices, Engineering Graduate/Diploma/Vocational Certificate Holder जिन्होंने 1 वर्ष या अधिक Training/Job Experience लिया हो, वे Eligible नहीं हैं।

🎂 Age Limit (Notification Date के अनुसार)
- न्यूनतम आयु: 15 वर्ष पूर्ण
- अधिकतम आयु: Freshers – 22 वर्ष, Ex-ITI/MLT – 24 वर्ष
- Upper Age Relaxation: OBC-NCL – 3 वर्ष, SC/ST – 5 वर्ष, PwBD – 10 वर्ष
- PwBD + OBC-NCL – 13 वर्ष, PwBD + SC/ST – 15 वर्ष (Combined Relaxation)
📌 Reservation व PwBD Eligibility
- SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/PwBD Reservation Apprentices Act व Rules 1992 अनुसार प्रत्येक Unit के अनुसार लागू (देखें Vacancy Table के UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS Columns)
- PwBD Reservation 4% (5 Benchmark Disability Categories हेतु) – Locomotor, Blindness/Low Vision, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Intellectual Disability, Multiple Disabilities
- हर Trade की PwBD Sub-Category Suitability अलग-अलग निर्धारित है — Application Form में सही Sub-Category (LD/HI/VI/MD) चुनना अनिवार्य, बाद में परिवर्तन मान्य नहीं
- Category का दावा करने पर DV के समय संबंधित Original Certificate (Caste/OBC-NCL/EWS/Disability) प्रस्तुत करना अनिवार्य, अन्यथा UR माना जाएगा
📝 Selection Process (Merit List)

Fresher Category – Matriculation Marks को 200 में Convert कर Merit List (न्यूनतम 50% Aggregate शर्त सहित)

Ex-ITI Category – Matriculation Marks (100 में Convert) + ITI Marks (100 में Convert) = कुल 200 अंकों पर बराबर Weightage के साथ Merit List

MLT Category – Higher Secondary (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology) Marks को 200 में Convert कर Merit List

Document Verification – Merit के अनुसार Shortlisted उम्मीदवारों की सूचना केवल Southern Railway Website पर प्रकाशित की जाएगी

Contract Execution – चयनित उम्मीदवारों को Apprentices Act 1961 के तहत एक वर्ष के Contract हेतु हस्ताक्षर करना होगा (Minor होने पर Guardian द्वारा)

Step 1 – Registration
- Southern Railway Apprentice Application Portal sronline.etrpindia.com/rrcchennaiapprentice26 पर जाएं
- “Register” Link पर Click करें व Personal Details, Educational Qualification, Contact Details भरें
- Login हेतु Username व Password सुरक्षित रखें
Step 2 – Apply व Fee Payment
- Registered Credentials से Portal पर Login करें
- अपनी Category (Fresher/Ex-ITI) व Trade चुनकर Application Form भरें
- ₹100 Processing Fee Online Mode से जमा करें (SC/ST/PwBD/Women निःशुल्क)
- Application Submit कर Acknowledgement का Print-out निकाल लें, यह Document Verification के समय आवश्यक होगा
- सभी Official Communication (Notifications, DV Lists, Selection, Eligibility) केवल www.sr.indianrailways.gov.in → News & Updates → Personnel Branch Information पर प्रकाशित होंगे
📄 Document Verification हेतु आवश्यक Certificates
- 10वीं/12वीं/ITI Mark Sheet व Original Transfer Certificate
- SC/ST Caste Certificate (निर्धारित Format – Annexure I)
- OBC-NCL Certificate (चालू वर्ष हेतु वैध – Annexure II) + Non-Creamy Layer Self-Declaration
- EWS Income & Asset Certificate (Annexure III)
- EBC Income Certificate, Fee Waiver हेतु (Annexure III A)
- Disability Certificate – Form V/VI/VII (Annexure V A/B/C), Competent Medical Authority द्वारा जारी
- Medical Fitness Certificate (Schedule-II, Apprenticeship Rules 1992 अनुसार, Asst. Surgeon रैंक से कम नहीं)
- Online Application की Print-out व Fee Payment Acknowledgement
📌 Important Instructions
- Employment की कोई गारंटी नहीं, Training पूर्ण होने पर Contract स्वतः समाप्त हो जाएगा; हालांकि Direct Recruitment (RRC) में Level-1 पदों की 20% Vacancies में CCAA (Course Completed Act Apprentices with NAC) को Preference दी जा सकती है
- Ex-ITI Category हेतु आवेदन के समय ही संबंधित Trade में ITI Qualification होना अनिवार्य है
- तथ्य छुपाने या गलत Declaration पाए जाने पर किसी भी स्तर पर उम्मीदवारी बिना सूचना के रद्द की जा सकती है
- चयनित उम्मीदवारों को स्वयं Accommodation व अन्य सुविधाओं की व्यवस्था करनी होगी
- बिना उचित कारण Training से हटने या Willful Absence पर पूर्ण Training Cost व प्राप्त Stipend वापस करना होगा
- केवल मान्यता प्राप्त Boards/Institutes की Academic/Technical Qualification मान्य होगी
