Higher officials of Southern Railway received the representations of Act Apprentices and appraised them regarding employment rules in force

Southern Railway, in coordination with RRB, Chennai and RRB, Thiruvananthapuram has been conducting outreach camps for RRB candidates and Course completed Act Apprentices.The outreach camps, aimed at redressing the grievances and concerns of these job aspirants,are being conducted by Senior Divisional Personnel Officers in all the six divisions of Southern Railway.

A group of Course completed Act Apprentices, who had completed their Apprenticeship in the Workshops of Southern Railway such as the Golden rock Workshop, Perambur Carriage & Wagon Works, Perambur Loco Workshop and other field units, met Personnel Branch Officers of Southern Railway today.Shri S.N. Karuppannaswamy, Chief Personnel Officer (Industrial Relations) and Shri A.Narayanan, Chief Personnel Officer/Admin received the representations and clarified them about the existing rules in connection with employment in Railways.The Act Apprentices were appraised regarding the preference given for Course Completed Act Apprentices in filling up 20% of vacancies in case of direct recruitment to Group C & Group D posts through RRBs/RRCs.

Southern Railway appeals to the job aspirants of Railways not to fall prey to unscrupulous persons promising employment in Railways.
