Northern Railway Apprentice Selection Process 2024
- Merit list will be done on the basis of Marks of Matic and ITI Average Marks
- For the purpose of calculation of percentage of marks of Matriculation/SSC/10th of candidates from Boards where grading system is applicable, RRC will take midpoint of range of grades obtained by the candidates. After obtaining midpoints of all the attempted subjects according to grades awarded, average will be calculated treating each subject is out of 100 marks, as there is no standard method or multiplying factor for calculation of average of matriculation for such Boards.
- CGPA/Grade obtained by the applicants should be converted to actual marks and duly entered by the applicant in the online application. Please note that the final score should be calculated by adding the marks of all subjects not of any group of subjects.
- Further on few board certificates where marks obtained and total out of marks are not calculated in that case marks obtained in all the subjects as mentioned on the certificates will be taken in to the consideration for deciding the merit.
- For the purpose of calculation of percentage of ITI marks, average marks mentioned in consolidated statement of marks for all semesters of the trade applied i.e. Marks mentioned in the Provisional national Trade certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT, which is to be duly entered by the application will only be reckoned.

Northern Railway Apprentice Required Documents 2024
- Admit card of Northern Railway
- SELF-ATTESTED photocopies of all the documents
- Proof of Date of Birth: SSC/Matriculation/10th Certificate or DOB Certificate
- Proof of Educational Qualification: SSC/Matriculation/10th pass marksheet & certificate
- Proof of Technical Qualification (ITI): Semester-wise/year wise and consolidated mark sheets
- Caste Certificate: SC/ST/OBC(NCL)
- Identity Card: Candidates must bring their E-admit Card along with a valid Photo ID
- Medical Certificate: One Medical Certificate is to be necessarily submitted, issued by Government Authority Doctor (Gaz.)
- All PwBD candidates have to necessarily bring their Caste Certificate (if any), PwBD certificate in original and Xerox copies of the same duly self-attested.
Northern Railway Apprentice Important Instructions 2024
- Column of declaration of E-admit Card should be left blank and can only be filled up in the presence of invigilator at DV Venue.
- E-admit Card is only a permission to appear for the Documents Verification (DV) and in no way guarantees engagement of the candidate for training. Issuing this E-admit Card does not in any way indicate that RRC NR, Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi is otherwise satisfied with online application form, details and documents.
- Candidate is hereby informed that the number of candidates being called for DV is the total candidates declared eligible by the units. Hence, merely qualifying in DV does not entitle a candidate, for inclusion in the next stage of selection process and the next stages of selection process for training is guided by extant rules only.
- The result of DV would also be uploaded on the official website of RRC-NR in due course. Candidates are advised to beware of fake website put up by unscrupulous elements and touts.
- Candidates finally enlisted would be engaged for training subject to be found fit in appropriate Medical standard.
RRC NR Apprentice 2nd Round DV 2024
- A selection process to arrange 3093 apprentices for imparting training in Railway Establishments was initiated and first D.V was scheduled from 12/02/2024 to 15/02/2024 while 16/02/2024 was the reserve day for absentees candidates. Now it has been decided to conduct 2nd round of document verification against Act Apprentice to fulfill the vacant slots.
- 2nd Round Document Verification will be held 08/05/2024 to 10/05/2024 at Ambala, Delhi, Firozpur, Lucknow and Moradabad Division, CB/LKO, AMV/LKO, JUDW Workshop and Amritsar Workshop.
- E-Admit card to eligible candidates will be made available shortly on RRC/NR website www.rrcnr.org. Candidates are advised to come prepared for stay at the concerned venue for 1 or 2 days
- While due care has been taken in preparing the result, RRC Northern Railway reserve the rights to make the amendments at any stage. Candidates please may note that merely being called for Document Verification does not confer any right to the notified post.
- Candidates must carry all the certificates mentioned in the ” INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES ” of their E-admit card. Candidates are requested to keep visiting website of Railway Recruitment Cell, Northern Railway (www.rrcnr.org) for further information.
