Selection Process

Selection of the eligible Applicants for imparting training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 will be based on the merit list which would be prepared taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the Applicants in both Matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] and IT] examination giving equal weight age to both.

Further, for trades where minimum educational criteria is 8″ pass + ITI, the merit list will be prepared by taking average of marks scored in 8″ and ITI (in the trade in which Apprenticeship to be done) marks.

Short listed candidates, thus enlisted, will be called for document/ certificate verification to the extent of 1.5 times of the notified vacancies.

In case of two applicant having the same marks, the applicants having older age shall be preferred. In case the dates of birth are also same, then the: Applicants who passed matriculation exam earlier shall be considered first. There will be no written
test or viva.

Final merit list will be prepared Unit wise, Trade wise & Community wise equal to the number of slots in the descending order of percentage of marks obtained by the candidate.

Applicants need not send any copies of application / certificates / documents to RRC-NCR by post but have to upload the same online.




How to Marks Calculated ?

For the purpose of calculation of percentage of SSC / Matriculation marks Total Marks of all Subjects mentioned in the Mark sheet. (Nat best of five but total of all subjects including optional subject / additional subject / alternate subject, etc).
CGPA obtained by the applicants should be converted to actual marks and duly entered by the applicant in the online application. Please note that the final score should be calculated by adding the marks of all subjects not of any group of subjects.

For the purpose of calculation of percentage of ITl marks, average marks mentioned in consolidated statement of marks for all semesters of the trade applied i.e. Marks mentioned in the Provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT, which is to be duly entered by the applicant in the online application will only be reckoned.

The applicant should note that in case any discrepancy in the Marks/CGPA entered in the online application and the Original Mark sheet / Certificate, is found at the time of Document Verification, the candidature of the Applicants will be rejected

Check List for Document Verification of ACT APPRENTICES for the Year 2019-20

Candidate you are requested to carry original copy of the below mention document and one photo copy of each document.

  1. Proof of photo identity i.e. Aadhar card / PAN Card / Driving Linces etc.
  2. Certificate for proof of Date of Birth (10th Standard or its equivalent certificate or Merksheet indicating date of birth or school leaving certificate indicating date of birth.
  3. Certificate and Marksheet 10th Class.
  4. Consolidated ITI Marksheet of All semesters of trade in which applied/provisional National trade certificate indicating Marks. (Certificate and Mark sheet of ITI issued bu NCVT/SCVT)
  5. Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC applicants wherever applicable.
  6. Disability certificate in case of PWBD.
  7. EWS Certificate if Applicable.
  8. Discharge Certificate/Serving certificate in case of applicant applied against Ex-Serviceman quota.

अनुपस्थित अभ्यर्थियों के अभ्यर्थन के संबंध में कोई दावा स्वीकार नहीं किया जाएगा तथा इस संबंध में अंतिम निर्णय रेल भर्ती प्रकोष्ठ के पास सुरक्षित रहेगा |
