DGT official notice 2025
- The Directorate General of Training (DGT) in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship oversees national vocational training programs in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). The DGT establishes standards and conducts trade testing, while the day-to-day administration of ITIs is managed by State Governments and Union Territory Administrations.
- The DGT issues a Training Calendar for each session to all State/UT directorates to conduct the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) admission process in government and private ITIs as per the provided schedule. The deadline for admission in all government and private ITIs nationwide is October 30, 2024.
- Currently, data for approximately 14.43 lakh trainees has been uploaded by State/UT Directorates and National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs). Out of this, around 13 lakh trainees have completed trainee verification and received a Permanent Registration Number (PRN) to date. However, some trainees are still pending verification for various reasons, despite four extensions provided by DGT over a six-month period.
- After a thorough review, the competent authority has decided to offer a final opportunity to trainees who were admitted but have not completed trainee verification yet and are now willing to do so for the 2024 session. The schedule for this opportunity is outlined below:
Trainee verification schedule: Regular/Private Trainees-Six Month (Batch-I, II), One-year and Two-Year Trades: Session:2024.

- It is the responsibility of the State/UT Directorate and ITI to ensure that all trainees complete the Trainee Verification process according to the final schedule provided. A unique PRN is generated only after the trainee completes all three steps of the verification process, confirming their admission with DGT on the portal. Trainees who have not completed the verification process by the deadline will be considered inactive, and no further claims regarding trainee admission by ITIs or trainees will be entertained for the 2024 session.
