Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a listed premier Mini Ratna Schedule ‘A’ Company of Govt. of India, invites online application from eligible Graduate holders in Engineering, Diploma holders in Engineering who are domicile in Andaman & Nicobar Islands and passed during 2021,2022,2023,2024 & 2025, for undergoing one year Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973 for CSL AN Ship Repair Unit (CANSRU), Sri Vijaya Puram

Category – I Graduate Apprentices:

Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:-

CSL Apprentice Recruitment Qualification 2025

Category – I Graduate Apprentices: –

• A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in relevant discipline.
• A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline.
• Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
• Some Universities/Institutes/Examination Boards do not award Class or Percentage of marks and allot Aggregate Grade Points (e.g. CGPA/OGPA/CPI, etc.). In case University/Institute/Examination Board defines criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks, the same shall be accepted. However, where the University/ Institute/ Examination does not define criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks, the Aggregate Grade Points shall be multiplied by 10 to get the required percentage of marks.

Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:-

• A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.
• A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a University in relevant discipline.
• A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.

CSL Apprentice Recruitment Important Information 2025

The applicant shall be an Indian citizen domiciled in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Travel of Expenses : No travel expenses are admissible during apprenticeship training period.

Boarding / Lodging : Boarding or lodging will not be provided by CSL during the apprenticeship training period.

Duration Of Training : The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year as per Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973.

General Condition :

(i) Applicants are advised to make sure that they are meeting the eligibility requirements as per the notification before submitting the applications.
(ii) CSL reserves the right to call for any additional documentary evidence from applicants in support of educational qualification / experience / other notified
eligibility requirements as indicated in their online application.
(iii) No correspondence regarding the rejection of application in case of ineligibility shall be entertained.
(iv) Call letters for certificate verification shall not be sent to the short-listed candidates by post. They shall be informed by e-mail/publication on our website
www.cochinshipyard.in > Career Page > CANSRU. All correspondence with applicants will be through registered email ID only. Candidates shall frequently verify
email/website for updates.
(v) Mere submission of application through online, Issue of call letter and attending selection process shall not confer any right to the applicant of acceptance of
candidature or cannot be construed as an acknowledgement of fulfilling the eligibility criterion.
(vi) Upon completion of the apprenticeship period, CSL shall have no obligation to offer employment to such apprentices nor can the apprentice claim right for employment on the grounds of completion of Apprenticeship.
(viii) The number of training seats indicated in this notification is based on existing requirement and shall vary depending on the future requirements.
(ix) Notwithstanding the above or any other conditions, CSL reserves the right not to fill up the training seats notified. Further, the filling up of the notified training seats shall be subject to the suitability of candidates in the rank list and availability of training facilities. CSL reserves the right to restrict/ alter/cancel/modify the recruitment process, if need so arises.
(x) Candidate should ensure that marks are entered correctly. In the event of difference between entered marks and mark sheet uploaded, the application will be summarily rejected.

How to Apply CSL Apprentice Recruitment 2025

The apprenticeship registration/application-submissions shall be through the portal: nats.education.gov.in. The method of applying for those who already registered in the old portal is provided in Column A of below table. Others can follows the procedure mentioned at Column B.

For students have registration in old Apprentice portal (portal.mhrdnats.gov.in)

a. Activate the account https://nats.education.gov.in in portal using forgot the password option at student login page.
b. Login and complete the application form. Ensure all details are correct. After account activation procedure (new portal migration),

c. Click Apply (You can see the status as “applied”)

Column B :
For students have no registration in old Apprentice portal
