Important Notice

• You have been provisionally selected for engagement as Trade/Act. Apprentice under Apprenticeship Act.1961 and you will be engaged at Kharagpur Workshop, S.E. Railway for undergoing training as per practice in vogue. After engagement, you will at al imes abide by the Rules and Regulations of the said Apprentice Act Rules as amended from time to time.
• On line registration is mandatory for engagement of Act Apprentice on the portal of apprenticeship apprenticeship portal is httpslactapprenticeshipindia.org. At the time of reporting for joining you should bring the registration no.
• The steps for on line registration is appended below:
  • Go to https/lactapprenticeshipindia.org.
  • Complete (a) Candidate Registration,
  • Search for the Establishment Name: Kharagpur Workshop, Region: RDSDE/Kolkata, State: West Bengal District: Paschim Medinipur
  • Registration No of Kharagpaur Workshop is E07161900401. Establishment Code: E07161900013.
  • Apply for the relevant trade.

• Your engagement as Apprentice is subject to your passing the required Medical Examination in case the railway authority is not satisfied with the certificate submitted by you at the time of document verification, for which you will have to deposit Rs.24/- towards the Medical Examination Fee at Divisional Cashier/Workshop Cashier at your place of engagement.
• You will be required to execute the statutory Apprenticeship cotract and necessary Bond before engagement as Apprentice.
• You will be held responsible for the charge and care of the Government money, Goods and Stores and all other property that may be entrusted to you.
• No facilities of Boarding and Lodging are available.
• You are required to bring Photocopies in duplicate of all certificates duly attested along with all original certificates
• You have to submit 02 diferent Character certificates in the prescribed proforma from Gazetted Officers (Central/State Govt).
• You have to bring four (04) copies recent Pass port size Photographs for engagement.
• No Travelling or other allowances wll be admissible

• The Railway Administration reserves the right to allot place of engagement for imparting training to the concemed Apprentices.
• The Railway administration reserves the right to discharge any Apprentice during training due to indiscipline or any activities unbecoming of a trainee.
• Training in Railway Establishments under the Apprentice Act, 1961 does not, by itself confer any right whatsoever for appointment in Railway services by default. However, 20% of the vacancies notified to be filed up in erstwhile Gr-“D’category posts (Grade Pay- Rs.1800-) shall be filed by giving preferences to the Course Completed Act Apprentices trained in Railway Establishments and possessing National Apprenticeship Certificate granted by NCVT, subject to found suitable in other aspects and having scored the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination.
• You have to bring 2 (two) photo copies of bank pass book, pan card and Aadhar Card.
• If you intend to accept the Offer of engagement of these conditions, please report to this office along with original offer of appointment, within 15 days from the date of issue of this letter to the office of the WPO/ KGP, failing which this offer will lapse and will not be renewed.
