NIOT Apprentice Recruitment Vacancy 2025

National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Chennai, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India, invites applications for engagement as Apprentice in the following designated disciplines under Apprentices Act 1961.
Applicants are invited for walk-in-interview to be held at NIOT, Chennai for the selection of Technician (Diploma) / Graduate (Degree) holders for engagement as
Apprentice Trainees to impart training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 (as amended from time to time). The details of the positions to be engaged at NIOT are given below:-

NIOT Apprentice Recruitment Qualification 2025

Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: Diploma in Engineering / Technology in full time granted by a State Council or Board of Technical education Established by a State Government/University/Institutions in relevant discipline.

Graduate (Degree) Apprentices: Full time graduate degree granted by a recognized university / Institutions in relevant discipline.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Diploma / Graduate candidates who have passed the qualifying exam in 2023 /2024 /2025 are only eligible.
• Candidates who have registered themselves in the Apprenticeship Portal for Apprenticeship and who fulfill the eligibility criteria as indicated above will be considered for appearing in the walk-in interview.
• Candidates should not have undergone or presently undergoing Apprenticeship Training elsewhere.
• Candidates should not have experience of one year or more in any job.
• The Degree or Diploma should have been obtained from a Board / University. Certificates issued by private bodies will not be considered.

How to Application Registration NIOT Recruitment 2025

Candidates are advised to register as Technician (Diploma) / Graduate (Degree) Apprentices online in the following portal under the respective state as per their
discipline in https://nats.education.gov.in/ The Candidates appearing for Walk-in-interview must register in the above mentioned portals and their enrolment number should be quoted in the application. (For registration, please see the instructions given in table below)
Step 1:
a. Go to: http://nats.education.gov.in/
b. Click Enroll
c. Complete the application form
d. A unique Enrolment Number for each Student will be generated.
Note: Please wait for at least one day for enrolment Verification and
approval.
After this student can proceed to Step 2.
Step 2:
a. Login
b. Click Establishment Request Menu
c. Click Find Establishment
d. Upload Resume
e. Choose Establishment name
f. Type “NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF OCEAN TECHNOLOGY” and search
g. Click apply
h. Click apply again
