Government of India Ministry of Railway Notice
- On an analysis of HRMS data it has been found that in the following categories identified as redundant, large number of posts are still in operation:
- Bearers
- Cantten Assistant
- Carpenter
- Chowkidar
- Commercial Porter
- Cook
- Painter
- Record Sorter
- Safaiwala/Housekeeping Assistant
- Water career
- Railways are requested to assess all posts in these categories & take a decision regarding continuation/surrender of these posts. Posts should be continued only if thers is no alternative & there is adequate justification. Railways are required to furnish Sanction. On roll and vacnacies in these categories alongwith unit wher they are operated and decision regarding surrender/continuation with justification.
