About ITI Electrician Trade

The Electrician Trade under CTS is one of the most popular and in-demand vocational courses offered across India through the network of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). This course is of two years duration and is designed to provide both theoretical and practical knowledge of electrical systems.

The training mainly consists of two major components: Domain Area (Trade Theory & Practical) that imparts professional skills and knowledge, and Core Area (Employability Skills) which builds communication, teamwork, and professional discipline.

During the training period, trainees learn installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, motors, transformers, wiring, and domestic/commercial appliances following all safety standards.

After successful completion of the training program, the trainee is awarded the National Trade Certificate (NTC) by DGT, which is recognized both in India and abroad, enabling candidates to build a successful career as an Electrician, Electrical Technician, Maintenance Operator, and more.
