Institute for Plasma Research Stipendiadry Trainees Recruitment 2022 : The Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) is an Aided Institute of Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India devoted to research and development activities in the areas of Basic Plasma Physics, Magnetic Confinement Fusion and Industrial & Societal applications of plasmas. IPR is located in Bhat, Gandhinagar and also has extensions of its Laboratories at GIDC, Sector – 25, Gandhinagar, Gujarat and has a Centre at Guwahati.

SSC with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate AND Trade certificate in Electrician / Fitter / Machinist / Electronic Mechanic/ Draftsman
(Mechanical).
The candidates should meet any of the following requirements as regards to Trade Certificates:

1. National Trade Certificate (NTC) (ITI pass out) of two year duration.
   OR
2. National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) of Two years duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme.
   OR
3. NTC (ITI pass out) of one year duration plus one year relevant work experience after the completion of course.
   OR
4. NTC (ITI pass out) of one-year duration plus NAC of minimum one year duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme.

Institute of Plasma Recruitment Selection Process 2022

• The selection process will consist of tests in 3 stages – Stage-1, Stage-2 and Stage-3.

Stage 1 : Preliminary Test

• Preliminary written test will consist of 50 multiple choice questions (choice of 4 answers) of one hour duration in the following proportion:
  a. Mathematics : 20 questions
  b. Science : 20 questions
  c. General awareness : 10 questions
• Marks : 3 marks each correct answer
• Negative Marks : 1 mark deducted for each incorrect answer
• All candidates with marks <40% in UR category, <30% in OBC category and <30% in ST category will be screened out.

Stage-2: Advanced Test

• Stage-2 (Advanced Written Test) in their respective Trade
• 50 multiple choice questions (choice of four answers)
• Duration : 2 hours
• Each correct answer : 3 Marks
• Negative Marks : 1 Marks
• Candidates with marks <30% in UR category, <20% in OBC category and <20% in ST category will be screened out.
• Candidate with higher marks in Stage-1 to be placed higher on the merit list.

Stage-3: Trade/Skill Test

• Based upon the Merit List prepared after Stage-2, candidates will be shortlisted for Stage-3 (Trade/Skill Test) in each Trade
• The Trade/Skill Test shall be conducted on a ‘Go/No-Go’ basis for qualifying the candidates.
• Candidates clearing the Trade/Skill Test will be shortlisted and empaneled in order of merit based on marks secured in Stage-2.
