Eastern Railway Apprentice Age Limit 2024

Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in case of OBC-NCL candidates and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates.

Eastern Railway Apprentice Educational Qualification 2024

• The candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board and also should possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
• However, for the following Trades the minimum educational qualification is 8th class pass from recognized School and the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT:

1. Welder (Gas and Electric)
2. Sheet Metal Worker
3. Lineman
4. Wireman
5. Carpenter
6. Painter (General)

Eastern Railway Apprentice Mode of Selection 2024

• Eastern Railway द्वारा selection merit basis पर होगा |
• Selection of a candidate for training slot of a unit of Eastern railway will be on the basis of merit prepared in respect of all eligible candidates who apply against the notification. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of data/details filled up by candidates in the online application form.
• Merit list will be drawn for eligible candidates taking the average of percentage marks obtained by the candidates In both matriculation (with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks) and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
• For example – A candidate secured 80.58% marks in Matriculation examination and 91.68% marks in ITI, then marks considered for selection will be ½ [80.58 + 91.68] = 86.13.

Required documents

• 10 Copies of photographs which you had uploaded at the time of filling up of online application
  • 02 copies of the following documents self attested or attested by a Gazetted Officer along with the ORIGINAL of the same.
  • Admit Card, Mark Sheet and Certificate of Secondary Examination.
  • Admit Card, mark Sheet and Certificate of ITI Examination.
  • Copy of Online Application Form.
  • Caste Certificate/Community Certificate as per reservation claimed, if any, while applying online.
  • Voter Identity Card (Both sides).
  • Aadhar Card (Both sides).
  • PAN Card (Both sides).
  • Candidates are also advised to submit the above mentioned documents in 2(two) sets i.e. each set will contain one copy of all the above mentioned documents.
  • One Medical Certificate

RRC ER Apprentice Important Notice 2025

Notification No. RRC/ER/Act Apprentices/2024-25

• This is to inform that the Document Verification (DV) for engagement of Act Apprentices for training in designated units of Eastern Railway (in terms of Apprentice Act 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992) against Notification No. RRC/ER/Act Apprentices/2024-25 is scheduled to be held on and from 17/02/2025 to 26/02/2025 (Except 22/02/2025 and 23/02/2025) at Kanchrapara Workshop (for Kanchrapara and Sealdah) as per the schedule finalized by this unit. The DV schedule is attached with this notice.
• 03/03/2025 will be reserved for absent candidates. No separate DV e-call letter will be issued to the absent candidates and no other SMS or e-mail will be sent to them. The venue of DV will be same as mentioned in their DV e-call letter. They may attend DV on these reserved date with valid explanation for their absenteeism (explanation should be with proof).
• The e-call letter of DV can be downloaded by the candidates for Kanchrapara Workshop from 31/01/2025 to 03/03/2025 till 17:00 hrs. Eligible candidates are requested to download e-call letter for DV from the link, provided on Notice Board of the official website of RRC-ER i.e. www.rrcer.org
• The candidates are also being informed through e-mail in registered e-mail ids as filled up by the eligible candidates in their online application forms.
• The schedule of DV is final and the candidates are instructed to attend the DV on allotted day and session as mentioned in the e-call letter, along with their original documents. The prayer for rescheduling of the DV other than the reserved dates will not be entertained by RRC-ER and the concerned unit would decide the matter, if any exceptional circumstances arise.
• The detailed instructions as indicated in the Notification No. RRC/ER/Act Apprentices/2024-25 should be followed. The instructions attached with this notice should also be followed scrupulously, otherwise the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled and no appeal would be considered.
