East Coast Railway Apprentice Merit list 2022

A notification was issued on 08.02.2022 for engagement of Act Apprentices for training under the Apprentices Act 1961 in East Coast Railway for A total slot of 756. Based on the document uploaded by the applicants preliminary scrutiny has been conducted and a list of 161 candidates for non submission of proper documents and a Provisional list of 1199 candidates considered for document verification is released herewith.

Eligible candidates will receive call letters through their registered e-mails. Candidates are advised to attend the process of document verification with the downloaded call letters on the date and time as mentioned against each. Date and time will be notified later on.

While coming for document verification the candidates should bring all the certificates (Academic Categories (SC,ST,OBC, EWS, PWBD,ESM) in original, three passport size photographs and the medical fitness certificate required for the post as per para-17 of the Notification (III).

Following is the list of 1199 candidates considered for document verification to be conducted in June 2022 (Probably).

The list of 161 candidates treated as rejected for non submission of desired documents is also attached here with.

East Coast Railway Apprentice Mode of Selection :

• East Coast Railway Apprentice Selection will be on the basis of merit list prepared in respect of all the candidates who apply against the notification. The merit list will be prepared by taking average of matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] plus ITI (in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done) marks. The panel will be prepared taking the average of the %age marks obtained by the candidate in both matriculation and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both. e.g., A candidate secured 80.58 % marks in Matriculation examination and 91.68% marks in ITI, then qualifying marks for selection will be ½ [80.58 + 91.68] = 86.13.
• Shortlisted candidates, thus enlisted, will be called for document/Certificate verification to the extent of 1.5 times of the notified vacancies.
• In case of two candidates having the same marks, the candidates with older age shall be preferred. In case the dates of birth are also the same, then the candidate who passed matriculation examination earlier shall be considered first.
• A final merit list will be prepared unit wise, trade wise and community wise, equal to the number of slots in the descending order of percentage of marks obtained by the candidate, as stated above.
• Candidates finally enlisted would be subject to verification of original testimonials and being found fit in appropriate Medical examination by Railways as applicable for the Workshop and for the other Units.
